Job Title: Accounting Technician (Permanent/Full-Time)
Job Description:
As an accounting technician you will play a significant role as a member of assurance engagement teams but will also be given the opportunity to work independently on a variety of data processing, personal tax, corporate tax, agricultural programs and compilation engagements. We value input from our new employees and as such you will have a mentor to consult with and assist you as you go through the process of continual education.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have:
· A Business administration diploma with a major in accounting, or similar education with significant accounting courses
· A desire to live and work in rural central Alberta
· A basic general knowledge of the agricultural industry in Alberta
· The ability to work as part of a team and perform their assigned tasks as well as the discipline to work independently
· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
· The ability to learn new skills and technology quickly
Job Title: CPA Articling Student (Permanent/Full-Time)
As a CPA Articling Student you will play a significant role as a member of assurance engagement teams but will also be given the opportunity to work independently on a variety of other engagements. We value input from our new employees and as such you will have a mentor to consult with and assist you as you go through the CPA training process.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have:
· A Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Management or equivalent degree, along with the completion of the CPA School of Business pre-requisite courses for entrance into the CPA training program
· A desire to live and work in rural central Alberta
· A basic general knowledge of the agricultural industry in Alberta
· The ability to work as part of a team and perform their assigned tasks as well as the discipline to work independently
· Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
· The ability to learn new skills and technology quickly
· A good attitude and unquestionable ethics
· The ability to get along with others
